It flowed very smoothly and kept the reader interested from start to finish. Nothing real deep but still full of surprises. I discovered this series with a review of the forth book in series in paper. First two out of print lucky to stumble on first one now must locate next. I think if you like local writers Minn you will like Mr. Anderson's work.

OK, its a cozy mystery and sort of a hokey stodgy one.
It is a silly little mystery in which a pretty nice person I'm very sorry to say gets murdered for no very good reason, and a lot of good hearted cops set out on the trail through the snow. Sheriff stars in rural Minnesota mystery Sheriff deals with his Barney Fife type deputy as well as a variety of characters involved in a murder designed to look like a snowmobile accident.

Two ongoing local projects that help to provide needy children and adults with free books involve Channel One and Community Food Response. Channel One is a local food shelf and regional food bank that serves Southeast Minnesota and Western Wisconsin with a mission to help feed people in need. Channel One has given us floor space for book shelves, which I fill with books each week. Seeing these moms, eager to get books for their children, was very gratifying. Reading has helped with his therapy and memory.
Community Food Response is a private, non-profit organization founded in to meet the growing need of families to have a supplemental source of food. Over adults and children go to the basement of Bethel Church each week to pick up food. Books are delivered every other week or when I get a phone call saying books are running low. Primary among them are:. I have been a member of the Friends of the Library for over 30 years and encourage you to belong, too. There are a large number of volunteer opportunities to support your library and your community. Another way to support the Friends of the Library is to donate your gently used books.
These books are a valuable resource to us and they are a tax deduction for you. These are the wonderful volunteers who helped with the History Hullabaloo a few weeks ago. Minnesota Historical Society staff, University Mentors and librarians will be available to help middle school and high school students with History Day Projects. Mini-sessions presented on how to do a project, write a thesis or do research. This event is open to students, parents and teachers. Check out our music collection available through Overdrive!
