And lastly, our detective, Rio Walker has been obsessed with Carlie for many years. He dated Ginger until her parents drove him away. Now he's focused on Carlie again. As a love interest, a suspect or a victim? What an interesting plot and dilemma facing all the characters. Everyone suspects everyone else and the tension it causes even between friends is riveting. This one keeps you guessing until the last chapter. Jun 04, Sara rated it really liked it Shelves: romance , suspense. It's hard to say who the main characters are, as there are about 5 around which the story circles and they're all brought together because the "Femme Fatale" is stalking stalkers to death.

Throughout the story I was kept guessing as to who the Femme Fatale was as well as who the real stalker was. A great read, although someone confusing and disconcerting at times with all of the secrets each character seems to be keeping from the rest. Dec 01, Melissa rated it did not like it Shelves: books-read Book 51 read in I really disliked this book. I'm surprised I even forced myself to finish it. I didn't believe the love-hate relationship between the main characters.
I guessed who the stalker was the first time he was introduced.

The only reason I didn't guess the identity of the "Femme Fatale" was because there were absolutely no clues to her identity. The writing was extremely disjointed. I plan to never read another book by this author. I can't remember details now, years after I read the book. What I wrote at the time: "Would not recommend, didn't like the way she writes. Read it because I wanted to know the outcome, but the characters behaved foolishly, I thought.

Welcome back. The kicker is the murder victim to be is his estranged x-wife. The attraction between Cal and Lauren is not to be denied, however the murderer devises many schemes to hurt Cal and those he values. The story is quite good and entertaining. No real twists just a straight up bad guy doing evil, and up to the good guys to prove he is the one doing it before they are eliminated. Narrator did an ok job, you could tell male voices from female. Her intonations were good.
What made the experience of listening to Every Breath She Takes the most enjoyable? Will check out other books from the same author. What do you think the narrator could have done better? I don't care for the voices. The main male sounds evil and he's not an evil character. The sinister character voice is less evil. I enjoyed it enough to make me purchase all of her books and this is the 2nd one I listened to. Apparently it's a re-release of one of her early books.
I would technically give this book 3.
Some steamy love scenes, but nothing over the top. My only complaint would be that the modern day cowboy vernacular isn't realistic. But this is fiction after all! Overall for one of her first efforts, pretty enjoyable. I so enjoy reading books with mature characters and good story-lines, and that's what you get with Norah Wilson. I'm really looking forward to reading her other books which I've already purchased. Emily Beresford was good with the female dialogue of the story but the male voices were not that good.
The storyline was okay. I liked the strong female character The narrator did a good job with all the voices Great read, from page 1 until the end. Wonderful mix of passion, drama, love, and suspense. If you stick to the book alone it would be fine. But the narrator for the audiobook makes the male characters sound like they are whining all the time.
I tried but I just could not enjoy it with this narrator. Kindle Unlimited. Tracking only.
Not yet read. Had to rate in order to track - automatic 3 stars. Any additional comments? I'm not really sure how I felt about this book. Parts were ok and parts got a little wordy and boring. I liked Cal but Lauren was a little annoying. It seemed kind of silly that she waited until the end of the book before she told Cal why she was really there. And, the author made Marlena so unlikable it made me not even care if Lauren saved Marlena or not.
I really felt sorry for Brady and I hated his father, Harvey, who was really not his father, which I was glad of.
Every Breath She Takes by Norah Wilson | Waterstones
This book did have lots of sexual tension and sex, which helped to make it a little better. As to the narrator: I can honestly say I don't think I would ever listen to her again. She sounded like she was reading the dictionary one minute then was full of silly emotions the next. When Cal and Lauren were have sex, or were about to, Cal sounded like he did when he was hanging off the cliff and was struggling to breath.
His passion filled voice was just horrible and a little creepy. Definitely would not want to listen to Ms. Beresford again. She was very inconsistant in her reading. What disappointed you about Every Breath She Takes? Has Every Breath She Takes turned you off from other books in this genre? How could the performance have been better? If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Every Breath She Takes?
I would recommend this audio book, It was a good story. Written by: Norah Wilson.
